Steve is right

His real name was Jimi O'Hendrix and he was born in Ireland.

His mother was Jewish and his father was Welsh.

He was discovered playing old sea shanties at the Dublin Folk Festival.

He had to change many of the original titles of his songs and albums
after the record company complained, but they included

Hey Paddy (became Hey Joe), Little Guiness (became Little Wing),
Dublin Haze (became Purple Haze) and so on.

His album Electric Ladyland was originally going to be called Molly
Malone and had a picture of him on the front playing an acoustic
guitar.

Is this an elaborate joke steve56?
JH was born in Seattle and did US military service. Of course that proves he was Irish.

Sadly, I think Steve just can't tell the difference between Jimi Hendrix and Phil Lynott.
