like you, i consider myself to be a patriot but acknowledging the bad which my country does, along with the good (which, admittedly, john pilger isn't quite so hot on), is all part-and-parcel of caring about my homeland. to that end, there is no escaping the fact that when america sneezes we are as likely to end up catching a nasty dose of the flu.

this isn't being anti-american - most of my music and dvd (non-porno) collections are comprised of american artists (current fave 'blossom dearie') - but it is anti-abuse of power, which is also an american thing, isn't it?
