sorry to ask you this way but i was'nt sure how else to do it.
anyhow if you remember i posted a question about routers not long back and you were the only one to give a straight answer.
i have one last q. on this does the inter face on your netgear router take ethernet and usb connections?

Jeff - most dedicated routers will only have an ethernet connection (like mine has meaning I had to buy a modem with an ethernet port too) but there are lots of adsl modem / router combos out there which have both connections and to be honest they are cheaper now for the combos than I paid for my router alone 12 months ago.
The reason most people want a USB connection is to connect their existing modem to the router to save buying a new modem but if you buy a combo then its not necessary - if you dont want to buy a combo then "most" stand alone routers will be ethernet only.
