You'll be saddened to hear that BBC Scotland are doing a six-week Best Of Chewin' The Fat at the moment, on FRiday nights. Some classics: the lighthouse keepers, Jack and Victor with a Tazer, Gie's a swatch o' yer fanny. And the very creepy scene where a guy knocks on someone's door, desperate for the toilet, only to find something exceedingly unexpected.

There was some imperialist talk recently of us taking back Berwick---the tourist board thinks it would provide a shot in the arm for the place.
