The point of hunting isn't to kill a fox for dinner, its about pest control for the local farming community, foxs cause a lot of damage on farms and can cost farmers countless pounds.
I will again say I am strongly against the traditional fox hunt but I do think they need to cull them down
They should do it the most humain way available and not make a sick game out of it.
Anyway onto the subject of dogs, they are little bastards when they are in a pack, even the most domesticated dogs can go mad when they are together, my neighbour had three little yorkies and they came over the fence when we were younger and tore my brothers rabbit to shreds, I wouldn't have shot them and we certainly didn't ask the owners to get them put down - isn't this a similair thing, you can't blame the dogs for acting naturally, it IS the owners who should be punished in this case

No it isn't the dogs fault. They were doing what they were trained to do.
It is the huntsman faults for not controlling the dogs and the hunt overall.
I don't believe the stuff about bad dogs in general. If you get a violent dog then usually it's the owner who has trained it to be that way.
I have a mate who has pit bulls and they are the softest kindest dogs you will ever meet. Why?Because they have been treated in a friendly manner.
It is the huntsman faults for not controlling the dogs and the hunt overall.

Hunting is a skill not a sport.
Shooting is both a skill and a sport when used in the right way i.e. at the Olympics.
The fact is though when you are tracking a duck or deer you still have the advantage. The fact is you are not going to get killed by the said animal. Whereas it might well get killed by you.
Still an unfair advantage.
Obviously we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

No I have never been hunting and never will but I am not one of the town folk who has no experience of the country because as I said I grew up on a farm.
I do know how intelligent deer can be as we had them on our land although mostly chased there by hunts.
As I said we have different opinions on this which is fine. The world would be boring if we all agreed.
The only hunting I like is when the Red Sox go hunting Yankees. It might have taken a while to get them but it don't have taste good.
