You will never find a scouser in a job centre, because all the job centres are being closed !.

Every town & city has its problems, not just Liverpool !!

....I'ver rarely met a Scouser who doesn't think their city is the heartland of blessedness, and that they are all totally put-upon by unfeeling foreigners.

...and 4WIW, BJ is a deeply cynical opportunist who disguises his pathetically obvious mania for power behind a totally-bogus air of pseudo-aristocratic hare-brainedness.

Years ago I was working in Birkenhead and staying in the City Centre, went out for a drink with with people I was working with who like me didn't come from Liverpool, after a while there was only a few of us left and got talking to a group of lads, everything was OK, I went back to the Hotel and woke up the next morning to discover that the lads had given my friend a right kicking and stole his money. Now this can happen anywhere but the point is that of the 8 cities we worked in that was the only city trouble happened in, never felt safe once whilst I was there and don't buy in to this every Scouser is the salt of the earth crap.

In the 80's I worked at a major petro-chemical plant on the Wirral & it was well known that 'management' would not employ a Scouser if an alternative was available, even if the Scouser was better qualified to do the job.
Reasons given, as has been said previously, they all want to be/ think they are commedians, strike faster than lightening & WORK is a 4 letter swearword, to be avoided at all costs.

Surprising how the Scousers jumped up & down at Boris Johnsons article but said nothing, that I have heard of, about the comments made about Bigley by the Scottish cunt , at least Johnson put himself up for a kicking by going into the lions den, what did Connely do? he didn't have the decency to offer a remote apology.

Eh? the mersey reaction to the scottish cunt was minor uproar, but then I do spend a lot of time in Liverpool for both social and work purposes, so perhaps I could hear it a little clearer. Then again, with a clear explanation the scottish cunt could've made peace as he's always been popular there, but his decision to bolt stateside instead was, to those I know in Liverpool, much more of a mistake than the actual initial gag.

As for Boris, his trip to 'The Pool' was an equally effective PR disaster, as amusing as I've witnessed in quite some time. The highlight being a mild tv studio grilling that had him in full, grovelling, shame-faced public schoolboy mode throughout. Utterly insincere, of course, but at least he gave us all a good laugh, and let's hear no more of this 'Bumbling Boris? he's as sharp as blade underneath' twaddle, please. That's another joke. Perhaps he could return in 2008 when his stand-up act's found some substance.
