A local Aussie Cricket Club has now instructed its players that hitting a six is no longer allowed

The reason...Public Liability Insurance

Where will it end?

ie Football players instructed not to kick the ball into the crowd just in case someones fallen asleep

Golfers not to hit balls "Out of Bounds"(maybe houses shouldn't be built on the edge of the fairways or vice versa)

A favourite past time Downunder in the last decade has been Councils being sued by people stumbling over cracks in footpaths.As they were all settled out of court promptly word spread and every man & his dog was doing it-SCUM

Sadly PLI has far more reaching effects than just these minor personal irritations

Seems premiums have skyrocketed to such an extent businesses & community groups are saying enough and closing shop
