I could be very cynical and say that the Invasion of IRAQ was done to make the world a more perilous place
The proof is in the pudding and the fact that both Australia & USA Governments have been returned with an increased majority and total power I both houses says alot about peoples mentalities during so called Perceived Peril

Yep, I was born within earshot of the forge master?s hammer, mi dad was a steel moulder and a life long member of the local WMC. I'm steeped in northern working class culture and proud of it - though that doesn?t preclude me from highlighting naffness and stupidity wherever I see it.
Well, OK, maybe I'm not a 'chav' as such. Chavism is a comparatively new brand of proletarian youth culture that has come to the fore over the past decade. It's the sum of comparative working class affluence (nowadays everyone can afford a car, mobile phone, TV, DVD player, designer threads and a gold chain from Argos) and the nowadays rampant commercialism and corporatism of the music industry and trash media - i.e. the trash media encourages vacuous chavism as it want chavs to buy stories about Jordan shaving her beaver and acting like a drunken lairy slappa at some contrived, backslapping, z-list celebrity bash.
But I still move amongst the chavs and view them at close quarters most every day... Hey, I was in the supermarket wine section earlier on today choosing a bottle of plonk to wash mi tea down with, when this elderly working class chap sidles up to me and gives it the old "Pssst! Ey up pal, where's red wine?" So, like, we're standing' in front of row upon row of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Chianti and Beaujolais and he's asking me where the red wine is! So, I'm like "Well, er, this is it. This is all red wine in this section." So he says "O, I din't know. It dun't seh 'red wine' on the bottles." Poor chap I thought, I'll be gentle with him. "Er, no. Well, nowadays it's just assumed that if folks see words like Merlot, Shiraz, Chianti and Beaujolais on bottles they know that it is red wine." Then he wanders off. But later on I see him at the checkout with a bottle of 'Concorde Red' under his arm...But hey, I'm digressing there with that interesting little anecdote from the battlefront of working-class life in a northern industrial town.
