long time since ive posted.anyway i have a 3 hour film id like to put on to dvd,but ibelive a dvd is on 2 hours long ,what i need is something to compress it on to dvd im new to this and could do with some help many thanks pete

what im looking for is some softwear that will compress a 3 hour film that ive downloaded off p2p and is on my harddrive on to a dvd because dvd will only hold two hours and my film is 3 hours sorry if i did not explain well but thanks .if anyone out there knows of any softwear please get back to me many thanks again levo

Yes it will compress a 3 hour film onto 4.7gb DVD-R.

I'm pretty sure that it's the same software that I used to compress longer movies onto a 2 hour Dvd-R on my old computer.
Just copy the files using the software like you would a CD onto your hard drive and it will tell you how much data is there.
Then if it's over 4.87 then it will give you various compression settings to achieve the desired result.
