After hearing Jamelia's ahem "Cover Version" of Sam Brown's Stop on TV tonight got me thinking of great singers who had minimal chart success.

I thought Sam Brown was one, great voice (like she had smoked 40 fags before doing the vocal) and real sex appeal as well and she is the daughter of Luvverley Jubbily cockney geezer Joe Brown.

Robin Beck who had a hit with "First Time" had a pretty good voice, shame she really only had the 1 hit with the old coca cola commercial song back in 1988 or was it 89?
