Aussie v Kiwi Cricket Stoush

Post by Deuce Bigolo »

FINALLY A CONTEST

Cricket is boring at the best time but watching Jacob Oram hitting us Aussies all round the ground including consecutive sixes onece he'd reached his century was a sight for saw eyes-believe it or not

cheers

I read recently that Don Bradman didn't favour sixes. He thought they were too risky because of being caught out.

Getting a sore neck watching Jacob Oram clobber you out of the ground should be good practice for when Andy Flintoff does the same to you lot next year Deucey boy.

Disagree with New Zealand being an emerging side though. Cairns retirement and Shane Bonds injuries have been major blows to them.

They are gritty and determined but lack a bit of class. Not a match for the Aussies but a bit better than Bangladesh hey Deuce!

Can't see Flintoff doing an Oram....it was one of those once off innings

Flintoff is better bowler than batsman IMHO wher as the opposite is true with Oram...can't bowl for shit

Any team could beat Bangladesh...they're the same as Sri Lanka 15 years ago...woeful inadequate

Anybody who pays to watch them play needs their head read

The Kiwis are always hard to beat sometimes and other times they fall apart like a deck of cards...usually when Brett Lee is bowling...no idea

Flintoff can do what he wants, when his mind is set right.
As a bowler he can dominate one of the best best batsmen ever (Lara) over the course of a series, as a batter he has the ability to destroy any attack, but yet to prove against world class. South Africa ie Pollock, will be the test to prove if he can stop McGrath which I reckon could be the turning point
then again I may have had too much beer!

I've played with people who had the same mentality, but that's because they didn't have the technique to take the risk.
Bradaman knew if he played ground shots he would never take any real risk and could pick and choose his shots to score heavy because his timing was unprecedented (sp!)
The mark of, in my opinion, the best batter ever
