Alas Australia & America per capita are the greatist polluters in the world
The fact that neither of us will sign the Kyoto protocol makes us easy targets
Unless all nations sign up then the third world will become like we are now and once that happens its game over...rather farcical in reality
Just wait till China catches up if they haven't already....a recent program said that their state manufactured car was using pollution technology that had been scrapped by the west 10+ years ago and their the fastest growing car market in the world
Time to book that flight to the Moon or maybe Mars me thinks

I didn't say we should sign it but was pointing out that the third world is heading down the same industrial track but without any limits.Totally self defeating...one side reduces emissions why the other increases theirs
As I pointed out the Chinese are producing the worst polluting cars for the biggest population on earth.Even if a quarter of all Chinese own these cars the amount of pollution will make the west look like childs play
If anything these rapidly developing countries should be adopting clean green energies where they can.Anything but following the same disasterous way the west has gone
The only sign I've seen of technology from the west actually being beneficial to the locals & their enviroment was a construct that turns human waste into methane gas for cooking.Makes you wonder why we in the west don't use such technologies instead of flushing our waste to the treatment plants with drinkable water and eventually into our rivers & oceans
