Re: Greatest songs of all time
Tricky but here are my five,
(1) Amy Grant, "Lead Me On" Could choose any Amy Grant hit purely for her effect on me during my teenage life.
(2) The Band, "The Night they drove old dixie down" an example of pure brilliance.
(3) Baddiel, skinner l seeds "3 lions" Had to choose this one after being at a game where 40,000 people are singing it amazing.
(4) ABBA, "Winner takes it all" A song that has stuck with me, from a truly wonderfull Band.
(5) David Bowie, "Life On Mars" Early Bowie cannot be beaten.
Cate.

She knows all the buttons to press. Any other Lightning Seeds song, fine; that one, with the talent bypassed Baddiel and that gurning moron Skinner . . . . .
While England fans rightly remember the brilliant Gascoigne goal against us in Euro 96 as the highlight of the tournament, we in Sweatyland prefer to recall the look on the faces of those laughter dodgers B&S after a certain penalty miss.
Good choice with The Band, though.
