(2) "Bluebeards Castle" by Bela Bartok, The opening of Forbidden Doors leads to tragic secrets.
(3) "Lady Macbeth Of Mtensk" Dmitri Shostakovich. A tale of greed passion and brutality.

Nah, none of those cate. They havn't got any good tunes you can whistle.

My favourites are Carmen, Aida, The Tales of Hoffman and any of Puccini's better known works (Turandot, La Boheme, Tosca, Madame Butterfly...)
