the reason your pic is slighty distorted when recorded from sky box office, is because the sky box itself is too close to your TV 'and' video, if you can move it quite far away from the two units you should have a normal picture when you record :-) I only found this out when we decorated the living room and couldnt get the Tv, video, dvd, sky and surround sound unit back in the corner and as the sky leads are the longest it got put in the other corner (confusing i know) but it worked for me! i dont know about 'macrovision' and if any of my electrial appliances have it enabled/disabled so that still might be a factor
