can anybody tell me of any good sites to try and trace back your family tree ,thanks for any help

I'm not sure if they have 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 on line as well. Try a google search for "1891 Census" etc. 1801 to 1841 censuses were not as detailed or as accurate.

Registers of births, marriages and deaths are continuous and go back further, both the official records and unofficial parish records, which may go back even further, but I don't know if any are on line.

The Mormons may also have similar sites as they were the leaders in computerising census records because of their belief in baptising their ancestors.
