Recordable DVD advice

Post by Guilbert »

I have stayed clear of recordable DVD for both TV use and
computer use as I wanted to see what format would 'win'.

My understanding is there are three formats DVD-, DVD+
and DVD RAM.

From what I can see DVD- is wining, is that right ?

Is it safe to go with DVD- or is the battle still being fought ?

If DVD- is the winner, anyone suggest a reasonable DVD recorder
for home TV use ?

Or is it best to skip DVD and hang on for Blu-Ray. If so when
can we expect it ?

So many questions.

This site might be of use

Mentions Blue-Ray and the ongoing war dated 7.1.2005

Doesn't sound like a good time to be making that final choice

cheers

How long have we been waiting for HDTV? Am I correct in thinking since the 80s.

I got the Liteon 5006 that EverHard mentioned and I can thoroughly recommend it.

All the best
