Royal brains?

Post by b217bravo »

Do they have any?, Harry dressed in a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party,
how insensitive can you possibly get?. Particularly offensive to the Jewish community but also to those who fought the Nazi's in WW2.

The royal sycophants are again coming out of the woodwork to defend him by saying "he's only a kid enjoying himself", he is 20 years old for God's sake, "kids" younger than him have died in Iraq. I bet if it had been a 20 year old from a council estate the police would have arrested him for "incitement".

He seems to have inherited his grandfathers sense of tact & diplomacy.

He has also admitted to drinking under age, taking drugs & having a pop at the papparazzi, nothing wrong with any of these things to my mind but again if he had been from an estate the police would have shown a keen interest, Blah Blair describes such behavior as intolerable & says he is determined to rid society of the "drunken yobs"

Very suprised to be the first to post on the topic.

The royals are sheltered, ignorant, clueless and in Harry's case thick as pig shit - why the surprise?

is it really that offensive, or is just a good way of stirring up some shit and selling some papers to the moral majority?

I wonder how many people in the country have dressed the same to a fancy dress party, or gone as Hitler, and how many shops stock the gear, if the papers thought it was that bad why did they not have a go at the fancy dress shops over the years.
It's not really offensive is it, in fact the people they are taking the piss out of are the Nazi's by reducing them to a figure of fun.

Oh dear. Royalty has temerity to actually enjoy themselves - type shocker.

(Borrowed the outfit from close relatives, presumably.)

True, a perhaps silly but easily forgiveable thing to do, and pretty minor considering the dysfunctional family he's attached to, yet the press are carrying on as if he's signed up for Comabt 18. What was all that business when his mother died about allowing him to grow up (and leaving him alone to get on with it)? Does this not include slight lapses of judgement like all young men growing up are wont to do? My mistake - royalty are meant to be perfect, aren't they. Them being our superiors, and all that archaic twaddle much of Fleet Street still sadly evolves around.

Or is this his mother's faintly subversive streak coming into play yet again perhaps? I certainly hope so.

Is it really THAT big of a deal? Wasn't this supposed to be a joke?

Also, the tunic I saw Harry wearing was an Afrkia Corps uniform, not the grey or black uniforms worn by the Nazi SS units, that would have headed up the death camps...right?

Weren't these Afrika Corps units the ones handily defeated by General Montgomery? Those soldiers were hardly to blame for the holocaust and were most likely just German young men that were drafted into the German Army. Why the outcries for an apology and a trip to Auschwitz for ol' Harry? Over the top, I'd say. Glad to see that America is not the only place where political correctness is running amok.

I agree...its political correctness gone mad, even if it was probably not his best idea to wear a swastika around where he knew damn good and well the cameras would be lurking.

In what way has the Queen 'done a good job'?

Managing to look like a miserable old fishwife wherever she goes - she's certainly done a good job of that.
