Importing american porno vids?

Anyone had any success importing hardcore american vids? Or would customs take a dim view of it?

This has been discussed numberless times. You've been visiting this forum for a while. Or at least someone using the same name has. How have you missed it?

As long as the material does not infringe bbfc R18 guidelines, if customs are obeying their own rules, they will let it through, though they may charge import duty. It may even arrive faster than a UK-based outfit. My best so far is ordered Friday, arrived Monday (Cine Bizarre).

Jaded get 20-vid orders to me inside 3 weeks, with the first arriving in about 5 days. I've only once been charged Duty (?18).
They really ought to be paying me commission...........

Jaded are paying you JJ but I e-mailed them impersonating you and told them to send all future commission cheques (or checks as they call them) to me. Sorry about that but I have hungry mouths to feed ie Buster and Prescott my faithfull bull terriers.

On a more serious note I find HM Thievessss more likely to open packets from EU than US as I think they know that the US stuff is not what they are after (although Excalibur do sell animal porn according to their site which suprised me as I would have thought that was illegal in US).

I am not going to order from Excal or Jaded ever again. Customer service stinks. And the abrubt/rude e-mails they send are not what I expect from companys that have just taken hundreds from my CC. Five Star are a bit more polite but I find that EU companies such as Your Choice and STB have a far more friendly tone in their e-mails and they also deliver fast.

Keep your money in Europe rather than feed these yanks hamburger addictions. Dont get me started on George "Dubya" Bush.

As for the Animal stuff JJ, I didnt venture that far but if you say its a laugh I will have a look. Might even pick up a present for Fluffy while I am there! I could also get something to keep Buster and Prescott quiet. Snuff movies with cats as the victims? Sorry thats a sick joke.

You can't blame jaded & excal for the duties.

But you can blame excal for shoddy service(haven't used jaded yet)on two occasions now I've come across vids for sale linked to the wrong person(Same name but thats not the point)

Its just not professional.

My recent episode with being told it ships from 7-10 days became 3 months is absolute bullshit.They don't give a toss because we can't touch them.

Places like Toyboxx show quite clearly when a product is not in stock and how long its likely to be before you get it-professional.

I know Magoo has had probs with Jaded, but they've never given me any trouble: although I was once charged 3 times for the same transaction, but they put it right the next day.
Excalibur are rude, arrogant and dismissive. That's phenomenally stupid, considering that if they got their shit together they'd make a packet over here. So much for US business acumen.

speaking of rude Americans, I ordered a MLB baseball shirt from the US's largest independent web retailer of such stuff. I was told up to three weeks delivery. They eventually e-mailed me nine months later (in December) saying that devliveries might be a day or two late over Christmas due to the Christmas post. I pointed out, albeit angrily, that mine - ordered to wear during the summer - was already eight months late, the guy sent me some stinky email back saying that my shirt still wasn't in stock, British people are just a bunch of whingeing complaining bastards and I wouldn't like it if he came to my workplace and started slagging off my performance. I was going to point out that my workplace was not relevant to the me-customer you-supplier issue at stake, but I ended up giving up on the fool and getting him to cancel the order (at least my card was never charged). Honestly, the American retail industry has this whole cheery "have a nice day" facade, but you dare to pick them up on something and you just get volleys of abuse. Twats.

I am a Yank who had similar experiences w/ Excalibur. I did a lot of biz w/ them (trading tapes @$6 each including S&H, a good deal if you lived in an area where you couldn't obtain HC locally, as I did).This is back in the late 1980's, early 90s. Then shipments got slower & slower, customer service got poor-I too got those deliberately snotty emails & couldn't believe it.Also I got tapes that had been cut, often for no apparent reason. So I gave up on them.Has anyone there tried Video Age? They feature 4 vids on one tape for around $25. I haven't done business w/ them personally but they've been around a while. Or Adam & Eve? They have good service but are expensive when it comes to vids.
