Depleted Uranium Weapons

Post by Deuce Bigolo »

Having just watched a Doco on the subject all i can say is,those in Power must think we are Morons to believe them when they say....its a neglible risk....when their living on a nuclear waste dump and saying that "I'll become a believer"

You've got to wonder what the real purpose of using depleted uranium in weapons is.Superior firepower for sure but I think it goes much further than that.....long term Genocide to be exact IMHO

What other conclusion can you come to when someone is prepared to utilise such a deadly ingredient which not only affects the locals but any who happen to be serving their country at the time

The real trouble might only just be beginning

It is a very effective weapon against enemy armour. All major armies use it. In a tank battle I would want British Troops to have superior weapons (hard to believe in Tony's world). All weapons of war are evil, hollow pint ammunition, cluster bombs etc. Thing is the more advanced man gets the more brutal weapns he invents.

Like everything in its perfect enviroment it becomes deadly

Like I said until those that espouse this theory of "Neglible Risk" live with it

If its such a low risk then why was one german doctor arrested & prosecuted for endangering the public by bringing 1 Spent Bullet back from IRAQ to determine its radioactivity levels if theirs no risk? I smell cover-up

Can just imagine growing up in IRQ as a younster.Wearing shorts,t-shirt and playing amongst the destroyed Tanks inthe desert

Like so many things we know they all are feasible under in a controlled enviroment.Change the parameters and you get a different result

I just hope that there isn't another Pointless War,although Uncle Sam seems to have signalled its either Iran or Syria next

The Beirut bomb blast and the subsequent finger pointing and ambassador removing has signalled that Syria will indeed be next on the hit list. Assad is almost as obnoxious and evil a bastard as his old man was, and deserves to be ousted and put on trial; BUT, I cannot help but wonder at the timing of the blast. Syrian-backed atrocity or Langley black ops?

Does it really matter who?

In the end any excuse for military action to continue forever is the goal, not peace

From what I can remember from A-Level Physics, Alpha particles are big and highly ionizing, as a result tend to not get very far and are stopped by the air after a couple of cm's. Beta particles are smaller the alphas and are less ionizing, so they can travel a fair bit further but are stopped by a thin piece of aluminium. Gamma rays are much less ionizing then Beta particles, and as a result can travel much further, requiring a relatively thick piece of lead to stop.
As a result, an alpha emitter outside your body is much less dangerous than a gamma emiter outside your body (Alpha would be stopped by the air before reaching you, or by your skin if it did, whereas a gamma ray doesn't intereact as much and is more likely to react with you as it passes through you). An Aplha emiiter inside you (inhaled, ingested, etc) is more dangerous than a gamma emiter inside you (Aplha wouldn't need to travel very far in order to cause damage, whereas the chances of a Gamma reacting with its surroundings are much less so it would probably exit your body without ever reacting). So it's swings and roundabouts.

Either way, the whole thing is a coverup. I heard somewhere that Gulf War Syndrome's symptoms are startlingly similar to the effects of radiation poisoning. If this is the case I think it's fairly obvious it was caused by depleted uranium weapons used during Gulf War 1.
