Up-and-coming bands

Post by Ace »

Wev'e had over-rated and best ever, but any new bands out there that grab yer attention?
I can recommend Carbon-Silicon led by Clash legend Mick Jones.
Best is, he doesn't play ANY Clash or B.A.D tunes, its all new stuff he does and only plays pissy venues for the atmosphere. Great live as well

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Adler's Appetite - featuring ex- Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, who was paralysed for a long time after suffering a stroke. Recovered, Now hes back and playing again. Saw them play live last month. They were great.
They have a new EP out of their own songs + 1 aerosmith cover...

Most Australian up n coming bands(what ever that might entail) can be found listed here in the top 100 songs of the year courtesy of our alternative radio station JJJ

A good resource for alternative music that most of the record companies and radio stations won't play mixed in with popular artists that have made it

cheers

Two all girl rock bands I can recommend.... first one is RED (winners of the 2004 Battle of the Bands competition held at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden) and the other is MAB

The fact one contains a girl who also works for me as a dancer and the other is managed by my good friend and DJ at my shows is neither here nor there.... they play good music!!!

RED have just come back from a successful US tour and MAB are currently to be seen in venues in and around London.

If anyone is interested in more info, please e-mail me direct.
