Mr Lucas is already warning that it won't be suitable for young kids, though sadly not because Jar Jar Binks is slowly roasted over an open fire.

Don't expect too many folk to be left standing at the end.

As its going to be the darker movie of this trilogy I can understand it might not be that suitable for all kids. I heard Jar Jar Binks would not die, so I read somewhere, but then again may be he will roast on a fire?? who knows.
As we all know it will be the demise of all the Jedi, with the exception of Yoda & Obi-Wan who will go in to hiding in Tatooine & Dagobah.

Its not until 'Return of the Jedi' that Anakin brings balance to the force again.

I'm still wondering how a whiny, petulant teen becomes the baddest guy in the galaxy :-)

Looks okay in a gluttonous CGI-heavy way, but it's telling there's no real buzz surrounding it as we have with other upcoming epics (Kong etc). This 'not for the kids' business suggests a defeat of ideals too.

A deleted scene I believe.....at least that goof ball doesn't appear in the next episode- Star Wars

This article written back in may 2004 sums up the prequels for me
highlighting the acting inadequacies to a tee

God only knows how you jump from episode 3 to 7,8 & 9

Which makes it all too predictable not a good thing for a sci-fi drama thats trying to compete against all those family friendly films

That is a class article. Pretty much sums the whole sorry mess up. Lee was great in the last film, and McGregor a lot less stiffer than in The Phantom Menace, but man of the match so far has been Ian McDiarmid's Palpatine. Anyone seeing the films without having known the stories of episodes 4-6 would never suspect what he's all about.

I still have high hopes for this one.

No need to worry about 7-9. They aren't going to happen.

I like the part about freezing Lucas like Han Solo until all is finished

Even with credible performances from those you mention nobody can make up for the other 2 inadequates playing the lead roles of Adam & Eve
No substitute for experience

Would be interesting to see who other Big Name Producers would have picked for the roles

No put in burying before you've seen it...as they see you see what you want to see

Lucas doesn't have any offspring? ;-)

Can only imagine who the roles would be played by
The Off Spring of Hamill,Fisher & Ford

From what little has been said over the years, I get the impression George didn't have a clue where to go with 7-9. Having brought balance back in six, he'd have to go through the whole rigmarole again---cue more Japanese sounding trade villains and Rastafarian CGI git.

Portman's an excellent actress in other films, and I believe Christianson can act. The trouble is, they were given paper thin characters to play, and atrocious dialogue to spout.

Oh, and a look at the original trilogy, and the "acting" of Mark Hamill, will remind people that none of this is a new problem.

Being positive, I've seen a couple of trailers for Hitchhiker's Guide (the latest one featuring the vocal talents of Messrs Fry and Rickman), and that could work. And a forthcoming film of Philip Dick's A Scanner Darkly is supposed to be a faithful adaptation. It features a few of the badder boys from Tinseltown (Keanu Reeves, Downie Jnr, Woody Harrelson, and Winona Ryder).

Given the Emperor is Dead it hardly seems there could be any plausible script than as you say a repeat

Can't say I've seen either in anything else

The dialogues always been a joke from the moment Harrison Ford said..."may the force be with you" but then the directing as reported by carrie fisher makes you wonder

Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia in the original trilogy, has said that ?When George was directing, he'd only say two things: 'faster' or 'more intense.'?

Fire Lucas as director, who has no sense of control over his storyline, encourages flat and affectless acting, and shellacs every scene with such a frenzy of special effects that they assault your senses like a strobe light.

Granted but then you had other strong lead roles to cover it
By Return of the Jedi he wasn't that bad unlike some of the sidekicks that were brought in...billy dee willams...Lando Calrissian

Hitchhiker looks like a must see...now if I could only remmeber what the story was about and I've sold all the books...IDIOT!!!!

Every Phillip Dick I've read has always been rivetting
Alas I've not read A Scanner Darkly

Interesting to see the film is entirely animated

I've only ever seen one of that genre Tron
way back in 82,excellent for its time but a bit dated today
