Jol and his spurs

Post by jaybo »

Yeah I also think they're playing better than they have done for years under a very tacticul minded dutchman as most of them are ? Robbo is a very good 'keeper (and a bonus he's English) didn't know till i saw them play the mighty reds (my team) that he's 6'5" , is that right ? Will fergie come calling for him ? Would he be interested in playing for a big club (don't mean that as disrespectful to spurs) ? would spurs be interested in making money on his transfer in and out ? Oh i can remeber when my lot won things (the mighty reds lol) in '84 they were cheated by th ref' and i think back then we'd have won . But i guess that's not the first time Cloughie got some dodgy decisions from ref's . JJ .

Would they be far away from where they are now had they stuck with Ranieri ? I think they wouldn't , and an awful way to treat the bloke press speculation for the best part of the season . JJ .

I disagree about Rainieri. Nice bloke and all that but nice guys often don't come first as they say.

He's just got the sack at Valencia and most of the players there are having a pop at him claiming that they were under prepared, that there was no real game plan and tatics.....what tatics appeared to be the message from them.

Sure with a bottom less pit of money then any manager should be able to win something but I think that they were right at Chelsea to replace him. They could though of handled it much better than they did and that's probably where a lot of the public sympathy for Rainieri came from.

Frankly, I hate the big clubs, I can't see how anyone would support them. It's not like any of us have anything in common with the players, most of them aren't even from the same country as the team they play for *cough*Arsenal*cough*. I can't stand Chelsea, but I really REALLY hate Ronaldinho. After how arrogant he was after putting England out of the World Cup a few years back ("I don't owe anybody anything, I'm brilliant, me, me, me" or words to that effect in a post match interview), and then how arrogant he was again before the Chelsea match, saying something like "All the english teams will be out in 24hrs", I just wanted to see him go out. Oh How I laughed as the spoilt overpaid Brazilian prick was escorted from the touchline after the match. The only improvement there could possibly have been was if he'd gone off on a stretcher.

He's 6' 4 ", but has got arms like a gibbon!

Rumour is that Ferguson is desperate to sign him, but they're going to have a hard time prising him away, as he's on a four year contract and is absolutely key to the Jolly revolution.

Is he the new Clemence? We live in hope...but then that's a permanent state of affairs for any Yiddo.

I have been away for a week , but managed to watch the game, although I am a gooner, I must say I thought the chelsea match was one of the best games of football I have ever seen. I hate to say it, but full credit to the blues. and with perfomances like that, I almost hope they win it.

Duece, I am a football supporter before a gooner. I played as a yoiunger man at quite high levels. And any team that played with the conviction of those blues, deserves a result.

I always had a soft spot for chelsea , as a kid I met peter osgood he was the first football autograph I ever got. And any team that had the god Mr Zola. has my admiration.

However enough niceties to west london. Come on you gooners.

I know exactly what you mean.I come from a 2 team town(support both equally until they play each other)that have some diehard supporters that really should be put down.I've never seen the point in spiralling into a miserable mood if your team loses.Winning isn't everything and most certainly isn't the only thing...I'll take a great spectacle anyday over a boring win...give me a contest where the lads show heart and I'm happy...win,lose or draw even when its a knock out competition

I've said it before but these diehards get shitfaced regardless of wether their team wins or loses

So isn't it better to get shitfaced and be happy?

They've always been an entertaining team with some exceptional players
but never good enough to go all the way for far too long

Start Cloning Henri....about the only thing that might save them from slipping in the premier not to mention progressing further in Europe IMHO

I can't blame my lovely gooners for their minor dip in form, everyone go's off the boil from time to time. I only hope we win the F.A. cup otherwise I wont be able to post any football slaggings for a year. Bugger.
