Looks like a Chelsea v Juve semi.
I am seriously concerned about Hernan Crespo out on loan at Milan. If Chelsea draw them in the final, I think we should recall him, and not risk doing a Real Madrid last year when on-loan Fernando Morientes scored 2 great goals to sink his team. Crespo IS class, no doubt. For that alone, we should be looking at the terms of his loan spell

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

I don't think you can Ace, I recall hearing that as the loan deal is a year long one you cannot veto him playing or recall him.
it is a rule of football that ex players always score against thair old teams!

we are Leeds.... , and we can still beat the mighty Chester

Sorry Ace but I have to disagree.

Crespo is over rated. He's a good player but is not and never has been world class regardless of what transfer fees have been paid for him over the years.

He's not quite as over rated as Juan Veron though. I have to say that I have watched him from quite early in his career at Sampdoria (Erikkson was his coach then) and had read rave reviews on him. I then watched a few games involving him only for him to be totally anonymous.

I said then that he was over rated and also that he'd die on his arse in England and that's what he did.

On the draw then Juventus should beat my Liverpool and Chelsea may sneak past Munich.

I for one hope that Juventus and Chelsea don't meet because that could well end up as a snoozathon.

I agree with Eduardo (unfortunately !)

I can wish that we can beat Juve and then Chelsea in the semis !

Then the effect of the Stella Artois rubs off !

Good luck Liverpool FC !

I'd never write any TEAM off against Juventus except when they had Zidane in the midfield and del piero couldn't miss

They're track record in recent times isn't the best
and given they keep winning 1-0,that always means the opposition are only a goal away from getting back into the game

Forget them beating Real Madrid that just showed up where Real Madrid are really at...lots of big names with no team cohesion

cheers

I agree with you that Juventus aren't a great side. But alas they do play a winning brand of football and even if they are not on the level of Milan skill wise, they are however ahead of Liverpool.

That said I do also agree that if the tie stays close then we will always have a chance. However reality says that Juventus are a better side than us and will probably prevail.

That said I hope to be proved wrong.
