Post by chubbs »

does this ebay auction site stink of rabbits or is it just me? there's guitars on there that'll fetch upto ?2000 anywhere else that they've got down for a tenner ( granted at the moment). i'd love to bid but i smell a scam...

Common sense says if its way underpriced then its usually bogus or something terribly wrong with them.Like a car with a stench that won't go away being sold for a bargain price

Thinking laterally it could well be the real deal but its been broken up into little pieces for ease of posting ;-)

ANY budding guitarist will want to try out an instrument before buying one. I saw a Steve Stevens SS-80 Washburn at a great ?600 last month, its limited and worth in excess of ?1000+.
Probably has a buckled neck or scratched to fuck. I was tempted, but again, without seeing it, did the right thing and left it

yeah, had a feeling. nearly got caught by the western union scam last year, ?350 for an ibanez jem... however, i di buy a jackson soloist for ?200. guy had good feedback but couldn't spell so i was the only bidder. a little trick i discovered for finding cheap stuff is the 'alternate spelling'.

Probably a con artist. IF you want equipment on ebay, ALWAYS go to someone who also has a shop, I just brought a new practice amp for ?40. I couldv'e got cheaper, but the seller had excellent feedback and his shop was only 15 miles away, so I saved on p&p, and as its new, got the guarantee as well
