I was wondering if any forumites have any experience with either (or both) of these mp3 players. I am going to buy a 60Gb mp3 player and am not sure which to go for as they both seem to do what I want. The ipod is a bit smaller, but as this will be for home and car use, that isn't a concern. Is there any reason why I should pay the extra ?100 and get the ipod when the creative model is only ?200 from here ? Any thoughts on this subject would be much appreciated.

I'm told the Creative Zen models are as good if not better than ipods, but aren't as fashionable, don't come with white earphones that make you look a ridiculous poser, and aren't a mugger-junkie's next fix.

I don't really understand why anyone would want 16,000 tracks of music to carry around - does anyone actually own that amount of music. @4 mins a track it would take 6 months and 24 hours a day to listen to them all - and the battery probably needs recharging after about 10 hours, which would be a bit of a downer when you had over 5 months 30 days of listening pleasure awaiting.

Oh I made a mistake in my division ......... it only amounts to 44 days of solid music pleasure, so it's alright then

Well, I'm not sure why other people would want one, but the reason that I will buy one is to put my entire cd collection to hard disk, which means 1) less clutter in my home as cds will be put in storage once converted and 2) absolutely any track that I own in my car, which is just not possible or practical with an in car cd player.
I am siding with the Creative model, but it seems that for evey 5 reviews I read, 1 of them will be bad! What to do?!?!?
