Forthcoming Election..

Post by Lizard »

How many people are wrestling with thier consience,s at this forthcoming event? I am finding myself really struggling to choose between one party and another, I have nothing to loose really voting for either of the two main parties, but after a conversation last night with some friends, I came to the conclusion Tony Blair and his cabinet are suckers of satans cock! So! I will be voting for the Tories, I dont much care for Michael Howard as a leader, but hopefully they will ditch him somewhere down the line and press on with someone else.
Anyone else feel this way? anyone else prepared to nail thier colours to the mast!!

Won't cause me any bother because I won't vote. Haven't voted in over 20 years, when I decided all politicians were wankers, and not about to change that - because if anything, they're bigger wankers today than back then..

Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dumb, doesn't really matter as both major parties are handcuffed by globalisation

Who ever you vote for in one house don't vote for in the other

Never give the winner all the power because if they get it all they'll only govern for the people that put them in power

Strong opposition means Ideological driven policies can be watered down

cheers

It will be a close one this time, I still see Labour winning it, but not by a landslide.
What the Tories are saying about immigration WILL win lots of votes, and the Lib-Dems have some good ideas as well, but its Labour that will win.......just, but will aware that people are tiring of Phoney Tony and his Cronies. I think if Gordon Brown were to take over as leader, it will be good for the party, and will win some sceptics over. We all know 'New Labour' ideas are as Tory as the conservative ideas were in the early 1990's

I despise all politicians and wouldn't normally give eny of them my approval, but this time I will have to vote against the present piss-takers, and vote Conservative. I don't what Howard will be like as PM but it will be far more preferable to Blair - I hate everything about him and all he stands for.
Plus, the Tories have vowed they will reintroduce rolling road tax exemption on classic cars - something that Brown removed without consultation as soon as the philistines got into power.

I'll be voting Labour. To do otherwise runs the risk of letting the Tories fuck things up again just as we're living with a stable economy, better public services, low unemployment etc.

This is not a stable economy, it's a completely false economy, one that is based solely on availablilty of credit and no end product. Consume, consume, consume - whatever the long-term cost. A time-bomb, make no mistake. A couple earning an average cannot afford to live in the manner most people do without credit being available, too many taxes.
Unless the politicians are aware of an imminent armageddon, this "stable" economy will implode at some time - where will the false "feel-good factor" be then?

I'll probably be voting Labour, though my idea of the Labour party disappeared a long time ago.

We have a situation now where people vote not for who they want to win, but for who they distrust the least. I can understand people being attracted to Howard's party after all of Blair's eyewash over Iraq and such, but after the conservatism of the eighties, I simply couldn't.

The supposed Brown takeover would probably work, though they may have missed the boat. Last summer, after that alarming talk of Blair stepping down (the reason/rumour something of a shocker) would probably have been the right time. It'll all be very interesting if Blair loses, mind.

Expect a very low turnout.
