Well, I am relishing tonights Match of the Day to see these 2 Newcastle players showing some fighting spirit..........unfortunately for the Toon Army, amongst themselves.
Whilst I do love to see a good scrap on the pitch, they are usually 'handbags' and I am left a little deflated. Haven't seen a REALLY good one between team-mates since Batty and LeSaux had a laughable slap at each other at Blackburn in 1994(?)
Its well known amongst fans and neutrals that Lee Bowyer is a bit of a racist, and as Dyer is black, it DOES make you wonder if the fight was more than team-mates displaying displeasure at other team-mates lacklustre performance ON the pitch.
What will REALLY infuriate fans is both these are now suspended for the FA Cup tie against Man Utd.

The ONLY reason I like Souness is that he says todays footballers earn far too much, and whilst he appreciates the game is now a business compared to his hey-day, still insists that players wear their shirt with pride and play their best for the club that pays them. I would love to have seen him grab Bellamy by the throat at the training ground, and equally to have seen him square up to the ponces that are Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole at Blackburn.He dropped them to the bench for night clubbing with pole dancers a few days before a big game, they whined to the media and Graeme then asked the pair of them to 'step outside into the carpark to sort this out' when which of course, they shit themselves.

Well, he was the start of the problems up here. Brought in the high-paid mercenary culture that has blighted the game north of the border; and he was hardly the most restrained on the pitch either. A complete nut job.
His habit, while managing Rangers, of "encouraging" his players to call off from the national squad through "injury" for midweek matches---and those self-same players being fit to play for his club come the Saturday---is another reason why I despise the git.
