Yes & No,just depends on which scanner you believe
The solution to java byte/verify is here if you can be bothered to follow the links and instructions
Think I'll just assume its a false positive as no other scanner picked it up

Ah, its coming back to me now. I posted about that infection before. AVG didn't alert me when they downloaded but did pick them up when it did the daily scan. They were real enough not a false positive. It couldn't clean or delete them but the link you just posted gave the info. I havn't had an infection since then.

If 2 other reputable scanners don't pick it a well known intruder like this then odds are its a false positive
Add in the fact that AVG supposebly allowed it on board with no warning
Then says it can't "HEAL" it
AVG has got my vote of disapproval
As if the update nonsense wasn't enough
I'll trial Avast for 2 months but eventually will pick one of the pay boys
This is one Software Program that pay seems to be streets ahead of free
especially where Real Time Protection is concerned....hourly updates versus when ever
