It's a worrying fact, but had you thought about what you are seeing on Television at the moment like late night SURGERY for beginners!
Does cutting someone's dick open or the odd fanny snipping amount to entertainment?..are we in a battle for better rattings?
But hold on-where do we go from here-what's the next move, you CANNOT go backwards...what stopping them from full blown SEX,mass killings in Wembley arena...and the most horrendous human acts never been seen on television before, but all lined up for the war on rattings...all before the watershed times.
Yes,you may laugh but the crystal ball predicts the most unspeakable programmes lined up,that television producers would say,you MUST see in the public interest.
The future of television looks very bleak indeed...what are your thoughts.
p.s.It's the double standards these 30-year olds that run TV get up my nostrils-show 'fucking' and done with it-Sod the 'surgery' for real gore visit CSI & Law & Order series, far better.
It's a sick TV world.
TV SURGERY:Where to we go from here?

Should read:TV SURGERY;Where DO we go from here..
You can see how angry I am over this subject of double standards.

Re: TV SURGERY:Where to we go from here?
There have been more disturbing images on TV since its inception compared to anything from the latest Reality/Voyeur genre....Just watch the news...truly a horror story...broadcast all day everyday
Lets be honest TV is a cash cow that is being milked for all its worth at the expense of anything that might be deemed Quality entertainment in the main
Repetitive Lifestyle programs that are nothing more than Paid Adverts/Infomercials
Reality Shows/Game Shows that are all about Phoning/SMSing Premium rate lines/Interactive TV
In the end we the consumer have the power
Watch what you want and forget the rest
Personally I don't think there should censorship of anykind, warnings yes
I suspect if this were the case many people would throw their TVs away
and we couldn't have that.
I always liked the phrase "While your watching TV your not Living"
Very true
cheers

Re: TV SURGERY:Where to we go from here?
The news on UK Terrestrial TV is still heavily self censored when it comes to showing images of death, starving and atrocities. The real blood, gore and horror is removed to spare us the upset.
Watch the same news on any euro satellite station or especially the channels from Middle East like Al Jazeera, al Mustakillh or Al Alam news ... and you will see things that turn your stomach - especially when the Israelis have carried out some revenge attack and there are bits of bodies everywhere. The UK reports have all these 'nasty' bits removed ... and that is one reason we've ended up with a nanny state, The news is the news and should be shown in it's full horror, because only then do you get the real picture.
At the moment Al alam is showing a car bomb report from Iraq, there is no way these pictures would reach a British screen.

'....you CANNOT go backwards...'
err....Dr Who, The Two Ronnies, Ask The Family, Come Dancing clones, Last of the Summer Wine, that awful nostalgia antiques crap with Titchmarsh...
Offsetting the shreiking exploitation you depict, the Beeb is currently about as backwards looking as it gets.
