Scum - Re-released on DVD

Post by Ace »

Just read that a favourite film of forumites here is to be re-released next month, and the 2 disc set also includes the VERY rare and banned BBC version from the 'Play for Today' series in 1977.
Get yer orders in, lads

I thought you meant that they were re releasing the Man Utd season review for 2001-2002.

Apologies for the bad joke.

I saw it on original release and it was good ... but saw it a couple of years back and it was sadly dated. I think Bad Boys (1983) with Sean Penn was a better movie, although that too is now dated. Chopper is a better movie for a similarish theme, but up-to-date.

I believe the best version was released on BETAMAX but unfortunately you?ll require a Gas Tv powered by asthmatic hamsters to appreciate just how much this film has dated. It may also help if you wear a rainbow tank top and round neck collars with your platform shoes whilst listening to Gary leading the gang!

But of course having taken the piss if not for scum we would not have had the cockney hard bastard Ray Winstone in which he made his debut. I do apologise to all the northern readers for using such appalling language as COCKNEY & HARD but it is a true belief!
