The Fire Brigade Union leader was ousted yesterday. Not a day too soon as I'm concerned. A very shady bastard who was on a massive wage while 'his men' were out striking for a decent wage. I was particually intrested in the Fire Brigade strike as the Army got the old Green Godessess out of mothballs to 'cope'
I recall Gilchrist out with management at swanky restaurants ordering ?80 bottles of wine and running up expensive tabs whilst the real heroes were striking, and most of them didn't want to.
Unions today are certainly NOT like the unions of yesteryear, and I don't mean the twats that brought the country to its knees in the late 70's
