Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Trailer
Re: Lucas losing the Plot
As far as I know, they weren't planning on using the Jeff Wayne stuff. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. Certainly doesn't feature in the trailers.

Re: Lucas losing the Plot
Then it shouldn't be titled WOTW IMHO...the music in concert with the narration are WOTW
Maybe it would just be best if they let it be as it was originally intended a Radio broadcast
cheers

Re: Lucas losing the Plot
The original book is still powerful, as are The Time Machine and The Island Of Dr Moreau.
In fairness, do you really think Spielberg would have hired David Essex and Justin Hayward for his film?

As someone who's never read the book my opinion of the music is probably slightly biased

No but Music is sound not Voice
This discussion about wether WOTW is different from independence day is amusing
cheers

Re: Lucas losing the Plot
Annoying when you think of how many films Independence Day ripped off. The makers probably think they stole the start from V, but that stole the huge ships over the major cities of the world bit from Childhood's End, by Artie Clarke.

Re: Lucas losing the Plot
Its inevatible that repetition of the same scenes/themes will occur with so many films being made
Everything comes from something earlier I guess
Past Experiences lodged in the subconscious could easily spring out and that person could conceivably think they have an original idea when in reality their just innocently plagiarising

Wayne's World
As you suggest, Jeff Wayne's music is not being used in the film, but I understand he will be releasing a sumptuous, remastered 6 CD version during the summer, which should also include a DVD documentary plus footage of the CGI-animation version being made of the album at present. Still very fondly held by many it seems, though no doubt it'll get a slagging from Q tossers. Ah, who cares. Ooo-laaaa.....
"Let's do it..."
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
Went to see Revenge of the Sith last Monday (part of the Star Wars Marathon) saw all 6 movies on the same day at London's Empire Cinema - Leicester Sqaure. Mr Lucas himself came at the end of the screening. Was a very eventful day!!
Have seen Revenge of the Sith again a few more times since!! very enjoyable movie, probebly the best one of this trilogy.
Well done Mr Lucas.

The truth behind the Ep. 7, 8 and 9 rumour!
So says Gary Kurtz, the producer of the first two Star Wars films.
The fact is that when the plans for Episodes 7, 8 and 9 were being set, Star Wars had an almost totally different storyline, one that was cut short when Lucas got fed up with making the films.
