fuck me what a fight, amazing result
wasn't sure if he could do it I thought it would go one of two ways, either he gets demolished in four or outpoints him over the distance with his fitness. Never ever thought he could stop him, makes him a British boxing legend IMO now
bring on Gatti

Re: Ricky Hatton
Thankfully the fight ended(start of the 12th round) before the judges could get involved.Knowing the Boxing game any result could have been possible but the right fighter won this one
No substitute for being fight hardened by time spent in the ring
3 rounds in 29 months really tells the story and when you consider the age difference(10 years),it had to be a factor
For Tszyu to concede without even coming out for the last round says he got pummelled into submission
cheers

Re: Ricky Hatton
Hopefully this will be the start of England pummelling the Aussies (albiet an anglo) this summer.
Fighters always go over the top at some stage and I thought that maybe it was a good time to fight Tszyu who at 35 was probably on the slide. Much the same as when McGuigan fought Pedrosa, it can be about being in the right place at the right time.
Take nothing away from Hatton though and because of his come forward pressure fighter style then he's going to be very popular worldwide as he gets into some good scraps.
The Gatti fight would be a corker as most of Gatti's are. Again he's been in some brutal, draining wars so Hatton should take care of him.

Re: Ricky Hatton
the points issue would thankfully have been a non starter, at the end of the 11th one judge had Hatton 1up, another 3up and the third 5up!!!!

Re: Ricky Hatton
Tszyu's corner said as much as well. They pulled him out as they said he needed at least a couple of knockdowns in the final round just to "get level".
Re: Ricky Hatton
wel done ricky, I have watched virtually all of his fights since he turned proffesional and most of them have been very good fights, it was obvious from early on that he would become world chapion one day and it was nice that he won it against a class opponent, I was pretty confident he would win last night but I like many others was worried what would happen if it went to points.

Sky Box Office never let you record these programmes.
There is a macrovision copyright chip in the box and that kicks in on the Box Office distorting the picture.
