St Bob (Geldoff) has urged everyone to converge on Edinburgh for the G8 Summit/Gig. Will this event simply be an opportunity for middleclass youngsters to get together to talk bollocks ?n? act like twats, before they grow up, don suits, and join (in the guise of accountants, executives and layers) the multi-national mega-corps that they?ll be railing against? And are there any forumites, like me, who will be looking forward to getting in a six pack (from the biggest globalized, mega-brewery, they can think of) and sitting down in front of the box, with the old remote, looking forward to the blissful sight of foolish, pretentious, middleclass sorts, and poxy old bill knocking seven bells out of each other?

Maybe it is just a feel good for participating(reminds me of the Australian Reconciliation March-changed nothing) active but when you consider how these Politicians have been sprouting their going to take action with whats happening on the ground

Niger(Impending food shortages due to drought etc) and

Benin(overrun with refugees from Togo)

Both have been after aid since last November

Not ONE Country has pledged anything

Puts it all in perspective for me
