TV Repair Men

Can any of you good gentlemen help me? For the past week the right-hand side of my TV keeps contracting and expanding as if something inside is about to go. I phoned my TV repair man (a great guy) who said he didn't repair TVs or videos anymore and advised me to look in the Yellow Pages. Can someone: A) Hazard a diagnosis and give me a rough estimate as to cost (so I can have an idea what any repairman's talking about and hopefully not get taken for a ride) and B) Recommend a good, reasonably priced repairman in the Southend-On-Sea, Essex area who dosen't charge a call-out fee and would be able to carry out repairs in my home without taking it to his workshop? Much obliged.

Cheers mate appreciate that but the telly finally broke at 9 o'clock yesterday morning and after much ringing around I managed to find a guy who came and took it away to repair, it'll be away a week he says.
