Fry's piss-take wasn't that funny. Mannered comedy = mannered laughs.

And surely that wouldn't be the same Mr Fry who later sat in on Countdown's dictionary corner?

The man was a buffoon. A typical tyke.... all mouth and no trousers. The TV screens of Britain will be vastly better off without his stupid grimace, ridiculous dress sense and "dirty old man" style letching.

He truly was a prime example of the great British tradition of allowing the utterly talentless to rise to the top.

"But how to make Liverpool economically prosperous? If only there was some way for Liverpudlians to profit from going on and on about the past in a whiny voice."

Surely you can't admire Mr Fry if you feel that being a 'Cambridge wanker' tarnishes someone?

Not quite sure why a man as inoffensive as RW, deserves your spleen.

I think a double first in English from cambridge shows Whiteley wasn't too bad himself with words

some of these nasty posts about a dead man who was totally harmless never hurt anyone and bought some simple pleasures to some people baffle me

you can't even spell his fucking name right

we are Leeds.... , and we can still beat the mighty Chester
