Countdown presenter dead :(
Re: Countdown presenter dead :(
I don't think I've clapped eyes on him for 10 years ... to be honest I thought he was already dead.

Re: Cambridge ties?
I have no impression of him as a person, I didn't think he was a great presenter or journalist (yes he did do other things), but he didn't offend me in any way and I have not expressed any emotion or opinion over his death.
Following your 'logic', if you have no impression of the man why all the vitriol towards him, especially after his death, that's just fucking low

Fry baby?
Talented? Where's the evidence of late? Stephen Fry has become a sort of upper class J. Ross (an easy quiz show here, an awards presentation there etc). Not since his shameful midnight flit from the Cell Mates fiasco has he done anything of note that would put him in the same bracket of the Cambridge allumni he so obviously aspires to. He does have talent, I'll admit, but he's just not got the guts to put it on the line*. A waster, in short.
*Hugh Laurie, on the other hand, has.
