Best Place To Live

Post by socca »

It's absolutely fantastic living on this run-down estate of mine. From my little flat I stand in the window every day and watch all my friends pass by - on their way to the dole or the pub. They always wave up to me and it does make me feel special. It's got so that if I ever do go out for a while I put a cardboard cut-out of myself in the window - Yippee !!!!!

Don't you mean on the way to collect their dole & then on to the PUB ;-)

Wish I could say the same in my middle class suburb

I pass hundreds of people every month on the footpaths in my middle class suburbs and surrounding areas who keep to themselves and see oncoming traffic as potential danger. Makes no difference how I'm dressed or wether I'm smiling, frowning or speaking at them.

I'd sooner be dead than live in fear as these individuals obviously do

cheers

I guess cos it's shortened to "Aus" and then people change that to "Oz".

Either that or it's something to do with the yellow brick roads they have there.

I live in St-Helens - not sure why they call Australia oz but I did hear a rumour it came from an old Greek symbol for a chemical found in sheep muck. The Aussies like Greek- probably why they'll put it right up England in the Test Matches.
