No such animal as a SEAgull!!! There are herring gulls, black backed gulls, black headed gulls, etc., etc., but no sea gulls.
The common misuse of the term "seagull" no doubt derives from the fact that the latin name of the Great Black Backed Gull is larus marinus which is almost exclusively found in coastal areas.
