Recommendations for Laptop/Notebook?

Can anyone recommend a good laptop for about ?600 to ?700.

Requirements are the usual dvd drive, 512 mb ram and roughly 60 gb hard drive.

If there any cheaper options let me know.

check on pcworld and currys....i bought my current (and second) Sony Vaio for about 950? from the official sony site (previous one was ?1800 and i learnt my lesson!) ...if youre not worried about aesthetics youll easily find a good cheap one around 600 or whatever with that spec u require. good luck
