As for Bombing a few countries in retaliation...stupidity,if your ultimate goal is lasting peace...'violence begats violence'...and as most Muslim countries already experience bombings by extremists seems rather pointless
As for the nuclear threat of Iran I think any number of former U.S.S.R. states are more likely to be where the ingredients for a 'dirty Bomb' will be sourced from.

Clearly capital punishment is a non-starter, but 'corporal punishment for life' might be an interesting option with regard to these monsters.
