Know them well and use them alot, but be warned if you get a batch of faulty discs, don't expect them to be too helpful.

Yeah, I had some cheap DVD off 'em - and 10% of them were duds! Things are usually cheap for one good reason - they're crap! If you take into account the cost of replacing the duds, the extra time you need to spend running more batches off to make up for the dud discs, plus and potential customer wroth should they get a dud DVD, it's probably better to spend a few pence more and get something that's going to give you peace of mind and workout cheaper in the long run.

If you believe them, its never the blanks - its always the software and usually nero (I don't use nero so I fail to see that one).

As I said if you get good blanks its a good deal but you do get duds and when you do its, not easy to get replacements.

Well I only buy a handfull of blank discs but my supplier tells me the problem is always with manufacture. He sez all the claims about software and hardware are just a smoke screen. He sells the cheaper 10p discs but always lets you know you may have problems so don't cry after. For some reason he always gives me ritek dye and I have no problem with these so perhaps ritek is a good thing and worth paying 14p for

I agree with that - but a duff disc is duff disc whether ritek dye used or nero, vegas, encore...

These guys don't seem to agree. I would love to see the independant testing lab and anything sent back to them with a hint of a scratch or fingerprint and they won't replace it.

Most of the time I have no problems with what they supply - just the odd batch.

I've only ever used Datawrite 8x and Bulkpaq 4x and never had any problems. I got thrm all from Only problem is their ?5+vat delivery charge, which negates any savings if you only want 50 or 100 discs .. in which case it's more convenient to buy in a shop. I never buy unbranded media of any form, better to pay a little bit more for assured quality.

Oh dear did you say Datashite and Bulkcrap? Sorry but they are terms I've picked up from the local PC shop

I can second Bulkpaq are rubbish - of all the discs I had to watch more of these than any other pixilate, freeze or refuse to play at all. Hence I have never bought any to burn!!
Close behind are Datawrite Red.

However Datawrite Yellow V2 ( now discontinued ) were Ritek G04 dye and hence very reliable. I have burnt 100+ with just 2 faulty discs - visible disc flaws rather than software (I use Nero 6).
Still got a tub and wondering what to buy when they have gone.
Hence recommendations please.
