Hendrix was sensational, a one-off and surely the vast majority of guitarists from the last thirty years owe something to Hendrix. I personally prefer Sir Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Iommi, Clapton and Peter Green but there is nobody who can play like Hendrix. "Excuse me while I kiss this guy."

I don't know about Hendrix being gay. Not that it bothers me in the slightest but lets face it, anyone 3 parts out of their noggin on drugs is most likely to be experimental with sex too so, it wouldnt surprise me.

I don't do drugs and rarely drink before anyone makes any assumptions.

No, because I don't get into arguments, & most definitley not over a pc where people can spout whatever they like, and it just goes tit for tat as it has done on here for months, I just couldn't understand you not thinking Jimi was a talented musician, I think you just said it to provoke a response from people, you remind me of the kid at school who had all the star wars figures, and said he wanted to be darth vader just to be controversial, whilst we all wanted to be Han or Luke. there is no doubt Jimi was one of the greatest and most influential musicians of ALL time, nine bobber or not, wouldn't change my opinion of him.

It's just one of those un-provable statements made 35 years later on ... mainly to hit the headlines and help sell the book. If he was or wasn't doesn't make much difference so far down the line, but if he was I think it would have come out before now.
