No doubt their solicitor will use some heartbreaking sob story about these 2 being victims of something or other.

I cannot believe they could not afford to pay for treatment?

The mother is a Retail manager according to the Sun, so she is in employment and the daughter is mentioned as having 2 kids. But either way i sincerely hope they both get the maximum sentences the magistrates can give AND that they serve the term. Not give them 6 month sentences and let them out after a couple of month's.

Personally i would do to them what they had done to the kitten!!!

Life is precious across the spectrum of speicies that inhabit this planet. It should be respected. Lack of money should never be an excuse to lose life. Every living creature has a right to it.

That woman simply should not have had a cat if she couldnt afford it. Everything costs. Her act was inexcusable and I would consider it murder what she did to that cat.

Why do we consider it a lesser offence to batter a cat to death than if we were to batter a childs head in? Both are equally cruel and deserve punishment.

The fact she is a mother will have to be taken into consideration and I feel a heavy fine would be a fitting penalty as her punishment. The irony being she killed the cat because she couldnt pay 170 pounds therefore her punishment for killing the cat should be 5 to 10 times the amount.

Fucking bullshit!! Any decent vet would have treated the kitten then billed them and maybe have allowed them to pay the bill up if they didn`t have the money there and then.
My cat was savaged by the fuckwit`s greyhound next door a few years back. Poor thing had been ripped open and the owners had tried to cover it up by taking her to a vet and getting her stitched in the end up though she had to be put down, point is even if their cat needed put down there`s more humane ways of doing it than beating it to death.
