This is true, there is an obituary in the Daily Telegraph, Wednesday
17th August 2005.
Drummer Carlo Little, who played with the Stones before they were
famous, AND taught Keith Moon to play, has died aged 66.
He has a web site at
He played with Screaming Lord Sutch, who at one time included
Ritchie Blackmore, as well as playing with Long John Baldry and
others.
I grew up in the 1960s, and have heard of many 60s musicians,
but must admit I had never heard of Carlo Little.

Megaton... Cozy Powell is the name .. LOL and
Carlo Little was well known as I remember the name. I'm sure he played with a few other bands back then and Long John Baldry who also died very recently used to be my neighbour.. He got me in to see the Stones in Hyde Park in 69... We sat in the press arena right in front of the stage... Only prob.. I was going out with my then g/f and her parents that night so had to leave 5 mins after the Stones came on..
It was great being around in those days
