Boycott Yahoo!

Post by Boring Bloke »

I think anyone with a conscience should boycott Yahoo. I'm closing down my account and will tell everyone to use my hotmail one instead. It's the least I can do to let the immoral, money-grabbing shits know what I think. Here's why:

Companies like Yahoo are run at a local level and comply with local laws, and and norms ... so if that is to snitch and censor, then that's what Yahoo will do. You can't brand Yahoo globally for the behaviour of it's HK/China operation. But globally, Yahoo have always been more than willing to cooperate with Law Enforcement, so posting anything libellous, defamatory or financially/politically damaging on their boards is not recommended, unless you take precautions to hide your IP (especially in China).

If Yahoo had details of people posting kiddie porn and then refused to divulge those details to the authorities would we think they are doing the right thing by guarding the privacy of their users or be abusing them for protecting scum. Whether we like the laws in this country or elsewhere, they are still the law and China has as much right as anyone to enforce them.

Yes your right Yahoo have no choice but still the same its
avery extreme comparison....kiddie fiddlersvs political subversion

Some things are right and some things are wrong

Too manyregimes exist at the minute that are passing laws to keep themselves in power at the expense of the people-ASSHOLES

Let us not forget that China has one of the worst Human Rights records on the Planet

While I agree with yahoo helping out authorties I don't agree in this case
but that won't come asany suprise given my views regarding China & Tibet

cheers

I've used Yahoo's own abuse reporting system to email the money grabbing unprincipled bastards.
Don't expect to get a reply though.
