Sure is a screwed up world but then again so is drink driving.

I for one say do not report it as you do not need people prying into where you were and asking questions as to how many drinks your other half had.

But i also have strong issues with people drink driving since a friend of mine was killed by a drink driver that "had only had 3 pints and was safe to drive"

A tragic case with your friend ... more a case of the wrong place at the wrong time. After 3 pints most people are perfectly capable of driving ok .... moderate drinking and driving (3/4 pints thru an evening) has been demonised by the PC brigade .... but no legislation in the world is going to stop the rolling drunk driver (stupid person) who decides to get behind the wheel - all the current law does is criminalise people who weren't a danger to anybody in the vast majority of cases.

I might have known you'd be a defender of drinking and driving. I note it's usually those that do it that hit at opponents. "Oh yeah, I'd had four or five pints but was perfect to drive." Yeah, right.

Imagine demonising the poor, defenceless, innocent lager lout that feels he can drive whenever he wants. You don't have to be falling down drunk to have your judgment affected by alcohol.
