little audio help?
little audio help?
is there a way ican rip the audio only from a dvd? got a couple of live gigs on dvd that i wouldn't mind just listening to so, is it possible to put the tunes on a cd?
Re: little audio help?
It doesn't seem to cope with 24-bit LCPM stereo audio tracks though, which rules out the Gilmour live DVD (just tested a snippet and got white noise).
However, DVD encrypter will extract the AC3 2-channel audio track and an AC3 plug-in for Nero 6 then convert to audio CD. DVD encrypter is free.
Don't know why I didn't investigate this before. I always used the phone leads and an analogue recording on my CD recorder previously.

Re: little audio help?
You can try the way they suggest in the following guide:
That process claims to cope with extracting 2-channel AC3 and then burning to disk using Nero and the AC3 input plug-in. I have managed to extract that AC3 from the Gilmour DVD but so far I cannot get Nero 6 to accept the resulting files for burning to disk, so for some reason it isn't seeing the plug-in

Ah, I'm an idiot. The AC3 file on the Gilmour disk is multi-channel, hence cannot do it. So it looks like analogue only copies of that one.
