The Mail is talking a load of crap (as usual).

I have a mate in France who I go over to see quite often.

You don't have to bother subscribing to porn channels there.

As long as you are willing to stay up late, you can see films as hard as any R18 DVD on a mainstream French TV channel.

Much, much harder than anything you will see on a subscription "porn" channel in the UK.

If I recall correctly it?s porn night on channel plus on the first Saturday of every month. Channel Plus is a French free-to-air channel.

Is this why there are so many so called "porn" channels in the UK? Cause it?s the only chance of seeing even a glimmer of female flesh on UK TV!

You got to admire the French sometimes for the freedom they have. I think they would riot over there if their government started telling them what they could and couldn't watch on TV.

Rumour has it that certain channels will be allowed to show R18 films maybe next year because Blair wants us to be in line with the rest of Europe, and this Rumour was in a Sunday tabloid about 3 months ago.

Unfortunately, about 4 years ago the French government introduced a new tax system which pretty much destroyed the French porn industry. Just one of several reasons why people like Christoph Clarke went in an easterly direction.

The knock on effect of all of this is the drop in numbers of professional female French porn stars.
